4th Suspect Charged In DeLand HS Break-In And Vandalism

deland hs vandals DeLand, FL - Update: A 4th suspect has been arrested in connection to August's break-ins and vandalism at DeLand High School and Middle School. On Thursday, 19-year-old Justin Rinaldi was arrested by the DeLand Police Department. For the high school incident on August 23, Rinaldi's being charged with burglary of a structure causing more than $1,000 and criminal mischief of more than $1,000. He's being charged with unarmed burglary of a structure and criminal mischief causing more than $1,000 in damage for the middle school break-in which happened the day after the high school incident. 21-year-old Brandon Carver and a 17-year-old are facing the same charges in the middle school break-in. Earlier Reporting: During a press conference held on Friday afternoon, police announced that they had arrested a 21-year-old and 2 juveniles in connection to vandalism at DeLand High School. Officials say Brandon Carver, a 17-year-old, and a 15-year-old are all facing various charges including criminal mischief, burglary of a structure of less than $1,000, and causing damage of more than $41,000. It's now estimated that around $100,000 worth of damage was done at the high school. The three were arrested on Thursday night following police interviews. It's not yet known if the trio also broke into DeLand Middle School, where two golf carts were taken for a joyride and tools were thrown onto the track the day after the high school was vandalized.
