Volusia County, FL-FHP says a 40-year-old motorcyclist from DeBary died in an accident early today on I-4 westbound. Troopers say the biker was riding a 2011 Kawasaki when he hit the back of 2016 Nissan van also headed west on I-4. The accident happened at MM 107, one mile west of DeBary Avenue. The accident happened just after 1 AM.
The biker was wearing a helmet.
The van was driven by 46-year-old Velez Lesandro of Orlando who was not hurt. After it was hit, the van swerved into the guardrail.
The crash remains under investigation.
