Death Investigation Underway In Palm Coast “W” Section

Palm Coast, FL – Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies are actively working a fatal shooting scene in Palm Coast’s “W” section. They responded to a shooting last night (July 12) just before 8:30 p.m. They found 17-year-old Elijah Rizvan dead from a gunshot wound at the crime scene at Westfield Lane and Westford Lane.

Area residents should expect an increased law enforcement presence today and Westfield Lane and Westford Lane in Palm Coast are shut down to traffic at this time, Saturday morning.

A canvass is being taken in the neighborhood today (July 13) for any evidence or home surveillance video. Deputies are actively searching for a silver vehicle with a spoiler, the car used by two suspects, who are believed to both be black males.

“This is the beginning stages of an apparent homicide investigation,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “During this active investigation, we ask that the public come forward with information that will help locate these suspects. If you saw or heard anything, we need to know about it.”
