DBPD: Woman Fired Twice At Another Woman's Car

Daytona Beach, FL - A Daytona Beach woman is now in custody after police say she fired two shots at another woman's car during an argument outside of her home.

28-year-old Paris C. Thompson-Cason was arrested around 1 p.m. yesterday at her Stocking Street home near Cedar Highlands Park around 90 minutes after the incident.

The Daytona Beach Police Department says Thompson-Cason and the woman she was arguing with both called 911, each with different variations of the same story.

Thompson-Cason told officers she heard honking outside her home around 11:20 a.m. and found three vehicles parked in the nearby cul-de-sac, each with three or four people inside, including the woman she got into an argument with.

According to the police report, Thompson-Cason ordered the woman off her property and then went to get her 9-millimeter semi-automatic after the other woman claimed she had a gun in one of the vehicles, a black Nissan Rogue.

Thompson-Cason claims to have stepped outside her front door and fired two shots in the air after hearing a gunshot while going to get her gun, at which point everyone else left.

The woman who got into the argument with Thompson-Cason told DBPD it stemmed from something involving the woman's brother, but what that was isn't clear in the report.

She fled the scene after Thompson-Cason told her she would "air this bitch out" and that's when two shots were fired, with one of the bullets hitting the rear passenger door of the Rogue, according to officers at the scene.

The report notes that police did not find a gun in the Rogue and that no one appeared to be injured.

The Florida Department of Children & Families was also notified because four children were in Thompson-Cason's home at the time, as was her boyfriend.

As of this morning, Thompson-Cason is held without bond at Volusia County Jail on three felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

VCJ records show Thompson-Cason was booked in August 2015 on a trio of drug charges, including selling/delivering cocaine.
