DBPD Trying To Locate Man Missing Since April

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 49-year-old man who has not been heard from since April 2019. The brother of Jonathan Gureli contacted DBPD yesterday (October 14). He stated that the last time he heard from Gureli was in April when he was trying to be readmitted to a Daytona Beach halfway house. Gureli was unsuccessful.

The brother told DBPD that Gureli's bank account, where his monthly disability checks are deposited, has shown no activity since April. He told police that Gureli suffers from Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and struggles with drug addiction.

Jonathan Gureli is 49-years-old, about five feet, nine inches tall, with short gray hair and brown eyes. Gureli's brother says he's concerned for Jonathan's well-being and said he feels that his brother's mental condition may have deteriorated to the point that he may no longer recall family members or how to get in contact with them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Grant Karcher at (386) 671-5310 or KarcherGrant@DBPD.us regarding Case 190020441.
