DBPD Says $10K Reward Offered For Information In Russell Drive Shooting

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police say 18-year-old Eric Gordon of Daytona Beach is dead after being shot in the head Saturday night. A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information on the shooting.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired and a car crash at Russell Drive and Cedar Street just after 9:30 p.m. They arrived on scene to find a vehicle, with Gordon behind the wheel, had gone through the rear fence of Campbell Middle School, which faces Russell Drive. Gordon had suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his head and was slumped over the steering wheel, bleeding profusely.

Gordon was taken to Halifax Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead a few hours later, at 1 a.m.

Witnesses reported hearing the gunshots. The driver’s door of Gordon's vehicle was shot multiple times from the outside.
