Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach Police Department hopes someone can help them find whoever knocked out a Daytona Beach man during an argument in front of a beachside bar two months ago, leaving him with serious health issues.

DBPD released videos, 911 audio and photos today (March 27th) of the January 26th incident at Coyote Ugly on Seabreeze Boulevard.

Sergeant Kelsey Harris with DBPD says they don't know who they're looking for at this point, but they do know he's a white or Hispanic male who stands around six feet and was wearing blue jeans, a red jacket and a red hat.

"The suspect was last seen entering a dark-colored vehicle," Harris added. "The victim suffers from memory loss and permanent diminished mental capacity as well as physical problems."

Officers and paramedics responded to the scene around 3:20 a.m. that Saturday, finding 26-year-old Derrick Tibado unconscious and unresponsive on the ground near the bar's front doors. He had difficulty breathing and a weak pulse, according to the incident report.

Two male witnesses sitting next to Tibado when first responders arrived told them the actual fight happened around 20 to 30 minutes before. One of them placed the initial call to 911.

Tibado - who was punched in the face and fell to the ground immediately, per the report - was transported from the scene to Halifax Health Medical Center.

The report doesn't make clear what the argument was about, but it did note that the suspect fled the scene with a group of other people heading west on Seabreeze in a car which was parked on the other side of the street.

The suspect is facing an aggravated battery charge once identified and caught, per Harris.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 888-277-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward. Web tips can also be submitted here.
