DBPD Hosting Active Shooter Exercise At HQ

Daytona Beach, FL - Members with Daytona Beach police's training division will host an active shooter exercise at their headquarters.

According to Lyda Longa, the spokesperson for DBPD, in light of the recent mass shootings that have happened, officers of Daytona police and members of the Daytona Beach Police Department Training Division will host a three hour active shooter exercise at DBPD headquarters on Valor Boulevard, off Mason Avenue and Williamson Boulevard.

Longa also said that this event came after many requests from the community.

The exercise begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday (December 8th), and lasts until noon.
