DBPD: Gun-Wielding Suspect In Dollar General Robbery Caught

Daytona Beach, FL - Less than a week after a dollar store employee had a gun put to his head during a robbery, police say the man who did it is now in custody.

28-year-old Anthony Gearing was caught this morning in Holly Hill, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.

He's been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and robbery with a firearm in the May 21st incident at Dollar General on 825 West International Speedway Boulevard.

As of this afternoon, Gearing is held on $75,000 bond at Volusia County Jail.

VCJ records show Gearing's been booked at least five other times since 2008 on a variety of charges, including battery, robbery fleeing & eluding police and driving without a license.
