DBPD Attempting To ID Thief Who Stole Diamond Ring Worth $13K

Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach Police Department is attempting to identify the suspect who stole a diamond ring worth $13K from the Volusia Mall in the middle of the day.

The incident happened around noon on Sunday, April 17. The suspect entered the J.C. Penny's at 1700 W. International Speedway (Volusia Mall) and asked to see a 14 kt white gold ring with a 3/4 kt diamond cluster worth $13,333.90. The suspect then ran from the store with the ring in hand.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5'7" and 5'10" tall with gold grill work in his teeth and tattoos under both eyes. At the time of the theft, he was wearing all white with a red baseball cap. He drove away from the mall in a gold or orange 4-door older model vehicle with matching large rims and dark tinted windows.
