Daytona Beach, FL-Daytona Beach law enforcement and representatives from the State Attorneys Office unveiled details of "Operation No Nonsense" today. Of 37 warrants issued at the time of the press conference, 21 were in custody.
The operation was conducted in response to citizens complaining about open air drug sales. The Daytona Beach Police Department Crime Suppression Team and Special Investigations Unit targeted areas mentioned in those complaints in addition to obvious open air drug markets.
Over a period of 3 months, undercover officers bought cocaine, heroin, dilaudid, hydrocodone, and marijuana from 37 individuals. According to officials, the individuals targeted in this operation have previously been arrested for a collective 392 felony offenses and 430 misdemeanor offenses.

- Calvin Gray (5/23/78), sale of cocaine within 1,000 ft of a daycare
- Clarence Guyton (7/7/69), sale of cocaine within 1,000 ft of a recreation center
- Thomas Garnett (11/19/66), sale of cocaine within 1,000 ft of a recreation center

Police Chief Mike Chitwood says some of the suspects had guns at the time of their arrest.
