Daytona State Hosts Easy Enrollment Day

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - With summer and fall semesters around the corner, Daytona State College says it's better to lock in your classes sooner than later.

Especially since the next semester begins in less than a month.

Tomorrow (June 8th), Daytona State will be offering returning students and new students a chance to lock in their schedule for summer and fall classes at their easy sign-up day.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m., offering students the opportunity to complete everything from admission to registration to financial aid.

Attendees of the event will also have the chance to win a $350 scholarship from the Daytona State Foundation.

At the event, students will complete a Daytona State application, meet with an admissions advisor and financial aid counselor, take an assessment test (if applicable), meet with an academic advisor and then lock in their schedule.

Advisors will also be available to talk about unique programs at Daytona State, such as Honors College, Learning Communities and DSC's award-winning QUANTA Program.

Anyone interested can visit the Wetherell Center (Building 100) on the Daytona campus.

However, if you can't make enrollment day, you can take advantage of DCS's extended registration hours for summer and fall classes through August 2nd.

Those hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at all campuses. (Daytona, DeLand, Deltona, Flagler/Palm Coast, New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater).

The summer semester begins July 1st and the fall semester begins August 21st.
