Daytona Beach, FL - Police are on the lookout for a suspect who made a quick costume change before robbing a phone store on West International Speedway Boulevard.

According to police, the robbery happened just after 5 p.m. yesterday (August 7th) at a Boost Mobile store off of West ISB.

A 911 call from the store, provided by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, says that a suspect walked into the store armed with a gun, with the report saying that the suspect forced the employees to the back of the store before he ran out of the rear door.

Investigators also think the suspect initially entered the store a few minutes before the robbery wearing a white shirt and a brown cowboy hat before leaving to change into a black shirt and a black wig.

The reporting party in the 911 call says he came in pretending to be a customer before the robbery took place.

A customer inside the store also managed to make their way out of the front door after the suspect forced the employees to the back of the store. Detectives have since spoken to them and they believe he was not involved in the robbery.

That same store was robbed in a similar fashion over two months ago.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact Detective Jayson Wallace at (386) 671-5207 or email them at WallaceJayson@dbpd.us.
