Daytona Police Searching For Armed Man Who Robbed A Family Dollar

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach police are still looking for the armed man who robbed a Family Dollar on Wednesday night. The robbery occurred at around 8:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar located at 1134 Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach. A man stepped up to the cashier and pulled out a black handgun. The man told the cashier, "Give me everything, and make it quick," according to police reports. When the cashier complied, the man began reaching over the counter and grabbing money from her. He fled on foot. The suspect is described as a heavyset white man between 30 and 40 years old. He had a goatee and was carrying a gray and brown backpack.
