Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police are looking for a man and a woman who they say carjacked a woman at a Dollar General this afternoon and took off with her puppy. The woman drove into the parking lot at the Dollar General, located at 825 W. International Speedway at around 12:35 PM today. A man and woman came up to her and asked her for a ride. She agreed to give them a ride, but she said she had to go inside the store to buy some dog food first. When the woman came back to her car after buying dog food, she drove the couple to several locations, but she started to become nervous, according to DBPD. She pulled into the Villages at Halifax apartments and told the couple that she couldn't drive them anymore. After that, the couple got out of the car, walked over to the driver's side, and wrapped a dog leash around the driver's neck. They dragged her out of the car and took off with the car and the woman's 6-month-old terrier mix, Luna. The car is a black 2015 Chevy Cruze with Florida tag IWP-V54. The car and the puppy are still missing.

One suspect is described as a black teenage boy wearing dark-colored shorts and shirt. He is about five and a half feet tall with tattoos on both arms. The other is a  black female, a little over 5 feet tall. She was last seen wearing dark shorts and a white shirt. She has a thin build and short hair. If you have any information, please call Detective Darrell Runge, 386-671-5242, or email rungedarrell@dbpd.us. Photos of the puppy and the car courtesy DBPD.
