Daytona Man Killed In Crash, 4 Others Sent To Hospital

UPDATE (06-12-18): The man who was killed yesterday afternoon after a crash at the intersection of George Engram Boulevard and MLK Boulevard has been identified as 18-year-old Larry David Cunningham Jr. Earlier reporting below. Daytona Beach, FL - One man is dead and four others are sent to the hospital after a crash yesterday afternoon in Daytona Beach. The fatal crash happened just before 3 o'clock at the intersection of George Engram Boulevard and MLK Boulevard. Based on Daytona Beach Police Department's investigation, it was learned that a driver was stopped at the red light facing north on MLK Blvd. One man then passed the driver stopped at the red light and was hit by another vehicle in the intersection. The man who ran the red light was killed. Also injured was the female driver of the other vehicle involved. Three children buckled in their seats in the woman's car were not injured but were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center as a precaution, according to DBPD. The case is still currently under investigation by DBPD. Police expect to release the identities of those involved later today.
