Daytona Condo Sales Rose Through May

Daytona Beach, FL - The latest analysis of the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service shows a notable increase in condo sales on the World's Most Famous Beach.

That analysis carried out by the team at Wyse Home Team Realty in Port Orange found that 148 condo units sold in the Daytona Beach area in May.

That's a 13.8% increase in sales compared to the same month last year. However, median sales prices fell slightly by 2%.

But, while there were healthy gains in sales totals, the MLS shows that sales volume was was up by even stronger margins.

Sales volume in May of 2019 was nearly 20% higher than the same month the year prior.

Year-to-date, sales totals finally caught up with 2018 sales figures, bringing both sales and median prices for the first five months of this year close to the first five months of last year.

“It’s heartening to see that the cumulative sales totals are no longer down,” said Ron Wysocarski, Broker and CEO of Wyse Home Team Realty. “It leaves hope that this season’s sellers could still draw strong offers on their homes.”

Vacation condo sales were also strong throughout the month of May, according to Wysocarski.

“In fact, the condotel sales are culprit behind the lower median condo sales price. When those sales are removed from the calculations, the median condo sales price around Daytona Beach was a healthy $233,500 in May.”

The highest sale that came in the month was a $925,000 condo at Minorca Condos in New Smyrna Beach.
