Daytona Beach, FL – Despite lackluster sales, condo sales price continue to climb on the World’s Most Famous Beach.
The latest report from the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service shows 108 units sold around the Daytona area in March, a more than an 18% drop in sales compared to sales around the area in the same month last year and 2017.
Sales volume was also down by more than 12% and condotels didn’t fare much better, according to Ron Wysocarski, Chief Executive Officer of Wyse Home Team Realty in Port Orange.
“Condotel sales around the area were unexpectedly low for the second consecutive month,” Wysocarski added. “That and the lower sales volume year-to-date could be signals of changes occurring in our market conditions.”
But, on the inverse, the median condo sales price in March was $239,950, which is up more than 11% over median sales prices last year.
March sales did match February sales, while prices also rebounded from the $180,000 median sales price reported the month prior.
“The area enjoyed strong gains in condo sales prices,” said Wysocarski. “It’s a good way to kick off the spring sales season.”
The biggest sale the Daytona Beach area saw in March was a $760,000 condo sale at Ebb Tide Condos in New Smyrna Beach.
