Palm Bay, FL - A motorcycle crash on Saturday ended the lives of a Daytona Beach man and his mother. Florida Highway Patrol reports that 30-year-old Mark Buffington and 53-year-old Heidi Buffington were struck by a pickup truck while riding at around 4:15 p.m.
Troopers report that the Buffingtons were riding southbound on Babcock Street in Palm Bay when 72-year-old Roger Colvard attempted to make a left turn in front of them. Colvard's pickup truck hit them on the right side, ejecting both Mark and Heidi Buffington from the motorcycle.
Heidi Buffington was pronounced dead at the scene. Mark Buffington was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Colvard was not injured in the accident.
The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending against Colvard.
