Daytona Beach Hammer Attack Victim Dies

police crime tape dark Daytona Beach, FL-Police in Daytona Beach say one of two victims of a hammer attack last Friday has died. Billy Ford died from his injuries. The suspect in the attack, 32-year-old Arenthius Jenkins, is now charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody at VCBJ. The attack happened at 253 Jefferson Street last Friday around 1 PM. The second victim, identified as Terry Gross, remains hospitalized at Halifax Hospital. Jenkins was arrested at the scene. His family says he has a history of mental illness.
