Daytona Beach, FL - A new study done by the largest mobile carrier in the United States ranks Daytona Beach as one of the best cities for small businesses.
Daytona Beach ranked 11th overall on Verizon Business' Top 50 list of 'Best Small Cities for Small Businesses', the only city featured from Volusia County.
Officials say the study gathered data from cities across the country along with information from the United States Census, including the financial climate of each city and an overview of demographics.
The ranking was based off of six metrics, including education level, in-city commute times, income per capita, broadband access, availability of Small Business Administration loans and overall tax friendliness.
Florida made up over 16% of Verizon's Top 50, with three making the Top 10. Those are Weston (2nd), Delray Beach (5th) and Kissimmee (7th).
