Crews Battle 2-Alarm House Fire In New Smyrna Beach

New Smyrna Beach, FL - At least 25 firefighters battled a two-alarm house fire this morning on Turnbull Bay Road in New Smyrna Beach.

Dispatchers tell us the call came in around 5:15 a.m. from the Pine Bay subdivision just east of I-95, with the home itself located near Sugar Mill Country Club.

Multiple fire units from Volusia County Fire Services, New Smyrna Beach Fire Department and Edgewater Fire Department went to the scene, needing at least three hours to get the fire fully under control.

No injuries have been reported. Firefighters on scene tell us the house appeared to be vacant at the time of the fire and is likely a total loss.

The State Fire Marshal's Office has been notified.

According to the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service, the home - a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom structure on a lot of just over 2.5 acres - is currently for sale at $549,500.
