Community Organizations Active In Disaster (COAD) To Meet This Week

Daytona Beach, FL - Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is having a meeting this week, with Pastor David Troxler from the First Church of Christ and president of Volusia Interfaith/Agencies Networking in Disaster (VIND) as guest speaker.

The group will meet from 2-4 PM, Wednesday, March 15, in the first-floor Airline Room at the Daytona International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach.

The public is invited and refreshments will be served. Participants may bring parking slips to the meeting for validation and free parking.

VIND is a long-term recovery group that assists people with unmet needs in the community following a disaster.

COAD is a multi-agency group that assists local governments in coordinating volunteers and donated resources. The group also helps with disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. Membership is open to individuals, faith-based groups, government agencies, civic clubs, volunteer organizations, social service agencies, business people and emergency management personnel.
