Calvary Christian Students To Thank Record-Setting Scholarship Donor

Posted

Ormond Beach, FL - On Wednesday afternoon, students at Calvary Christian Academy in Ormond Beach will be handing over a personalized "thank you" to the president of Tower Hill Insurance, which gave a record-setting contribution to the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program, which made it possible for many of those students to attend the school.

Don Matz, president of Tower Hill Insurance, is scheduled to be publicly thanked at 2 PM at Calvary Christian Academy, 1687 W. Granada Blvd.

Step Up For Students, the group that administers scholarships from the FL Tax Credit Scholarship Program, recently hit the 100,000 mark for students served. Many students who receive scholarships from this program come from a single-parent household with an average annual income of $25,353.

Speakers at the event will include Joe Pfountz (CFO of Step Up For Students), Dr. Aaron Gonzalez (Principal of Calvary Christian Academy), and Mia Rauseo (a Step Up For Students scholarship recipient).
