New Smyrna Beach, FL - The body of a 36-year-old man reported missing Monday morning washed ashore in New Smyrna Beach later that afternoon.
According to Volusia County Beach Safety, Aron Jay Engberg's body was found at around 1:45 PM on February 27 in the 1200 block of N Atlantic Ave. The New Smyrna Beach resident was pulled to shore where he was pronounced dead.
His wife had reported him missing just hours earlier when he left home and didn't come back.
Details on how he died have not yet been released.
