New Smyrna Beach, FL-A 40-foot sailboat with two people on board capsized early today near the New Smyrna Beach Yacht Club. Two were rescued and reported to be ok. That came as winds and waves from Tropical Storm Colin were still being felt here. USCG Petty Officer First Class Steve Lehmann says the pair called for help around 6AM and were heard by a nearby witness who called 911. Deputies responded to the scene and the USCG Ponce Inlet Station was contacted and sent a boat out. The USCG says a 49-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were rescued from the boat. The USCG is in contact with the owner about how to remove the boat from the area.   2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
