Bethune-Cookman University's Concert Chorale To Release Album In October

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Bethune-Cookman University's Concert Chorale is preparing to release an upcoming album in October of 2017.

The concert chorale's director, Mr. Damon Dandridge, was inspired to create the album after the chorale got to perform for the Obama's at the White House Holiday Party.

As a student-driven project, students majoring in mass communications and music recording technology will be working on the production, marketing, and scripting of the album. They will also be partnering with HBCU Records and the Mike Curb Institute to produce the album.

"It is important that we highlight the talents of our students and help them get to the next level, which is why we wanted them to be fully hands-on working with experienced professionals on this project," said Dr. Pamela Browne, Executive Director of The Curb Institute at B-CU.

The CD will contain gospel music, original compositions, and a documentary on the history of the B-CU Concert Chorale.

B-CU's Concert Chorale will be performing on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Cypress Lake Methodist Church in Fort Myers, FL (8570 Cypress Lake Drive). It is open to the public, and the doors will open at 2:30PM.
