Bank Robber Sought By Edgewater Police

Edgewater, FL – Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank on U.S. 1 in Edgewater and then got away in a black sedan.

The Edgewater Police Department says it happened around 3:15 p.m. yesterday inside the Wells Fargo branch at 1813 South Ridgewood Avenue.

According to officers, the man passed a note to a teller demanding money. The note implied he was armed with some sort of weapon.

After leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot from the bank, walked a short distance and got away inside a Pontiac G6.
