Daytona Beach, FL-The addition of JetBlue service at Daytona Beach International Airport continues to drive passenger numbers higher. New figures just out show a 10.9% increase in passengers in April 2016 compared to the same month a year ago.

JetBlue added service here to and from JFK Airport in New York in January 2016.

In April this year, 67,577 passengers flew in or out of the airport here. In April 2015, that number was 60,939.

Looking at the 12 months ending April 30, airport officials say total passenger traffic was up 3% over last year.

April 2016 was the sixth consecutive month for year-over-year passenger traffic numbers climbing. April marked four months in a row of double digit increases.
