Applications Available For FWC Grants For High School Students

Tallahassee, FL - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has grants available for high school fishing clubs and teams.

The Florida Sport Fish Restoration R3 Fishing Grant program focuses on recruiting new anglers, retaining active anglers and reactivating lapsed angles to ensure the future of fishing in Florida.

Forty high school fishing clubs or teams will be awarded up to $500 in financial assistance as part of the 2019-2020 High School Fishing Program.

Program participants will receive an updated educational curriculum geared toward fisheries conservation and resource management.

To be considered for the grant, clubs and teams must have a minimum of five members and a school faculty member who will follow the provided instructor's manual.
