Another Student Arrested For Making Threats At School

DeLand, FL – A 14-year-old DeLand Middle School male student is charged with one felony count of making a written threat to kill or injure.

The School Resource Officer was alerted this morning (October 8) by another student at the school who had exchanged text messages with the suspect.

The student admitted that he planned to bring a gun to school so that the school would be placed on lockdown. No weapons were found. The student was taken into custody without incident.

He was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
