Daytona Beach, FL – Airport passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International skyrocketed up 9.1% for the month of April compared to the same month last year.

“April was another positive month for growth. Additional capacity and increased demand attributed to increases over last year,” Airport Director Rick Karl says.

67,182 passengers flew in or out of  county-operated Daytona International Airport this April, while 61,606 passengers traveled through the airport  last April. Also, For the 12 months ending April 30 of this year, total passenger traffic at DAB increased 4%. 702,145 passengers took to the skies last year at Daytona International, compared to 730,341 passengers this year.

“One of the most positive takeaways from the month was that Delta Airlines added a daily flight and their overall load factor still increased over last year. It’s important that as capacity increases
demand keeps up, and that’s what occurred in April,” explained Karl.
