New Orleans, LA - A pair of West Volusia teenagers who've been missing for the past four days have been found in another state.
That's the word from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office this afternoon (March 17th) regarding 17-year-olds Austin Barrett of DeBary and Jonathan F. Castro of Orange City.
VCSO spokesperson Laura Williams didn't release many details at first about how those teens were found but did say that they were recovered "safely" in New Orleans and that their parents are aware.
"Barrett was last seen at his home just before 11 a.m. Wednesday (March 13th) by a family friend," Williams added. "Castro was last seen at home at 6 a.m [Wednesday]."
Authorities have also recovered two guns and two vehicles belonging to the Barrett family, a silver 1979 Datsun 2-door and a dark green Mercedes AMG e55 4-door. The guns and cars went missing at the same time as Barrett and Castro, per Williams.
"More details will be released when they become available," Williams noted.
