Daytona Beach, FL - Update: A 9-year-old boy has died after he and his father were hit by a vehicle while trying to cross Nova Rd in Daytona Beach.
According to police, 27-year-old Miguel A. Leonor and his son, Anthony D. Altamirano, were crossing the road against the signal and were hit by a vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol's investigating a crash in Daytona Beach that left a 9-year-old boy in critical condition.
Police say the boy and his father were trying to cross Nova Rd late Monday night when they walked into the path of a car. Both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the boy's in critical condition.
Officers said the driver stopped at the scene, and it doesn't look like they were at fault.
