Palm Coast, FL - A 56-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed on I-95 in Palm Coast early Sunday morning.
According to the crash report, at around 12:24 AM, 56-year-old Jimmie Brazell, of Daytona Beach, was within the southbound inside traffic lane of I-95, just south of Matanzas Woods Parkway. A 38-year-old St. Augustine man was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy southbound in the inside lane. He ultimately struck and killed Brazell.
It is unknown if alcohol was a factor for Brazell. The crash report indicates that the 38-year-old driver was not injured nor was he under the influence of alcohol. The inside and center lane of southbound I-95 was shut down during the crash investigation.
