Deltona, FL – A 5-year-old boy died on Tuesday after he was found in a pool in Deltona, shortly after his family reported him missing.

Deputies were called to the home on Waco Drive at around 5:49 PM on July 25 after Treus Boone was reported missing by his family. Family members said they had searched the entire house but couldn’t find the 5-year-old.

When the first deputy got to the scene they heard someone yell, “he’s in the pool!” A family member then jumped into the pool and pulled Treus out. He was given CPR and then was brought to the Halifax Health emergency room in Deltona where he was pronounced dead.

VCSO says the death is not suspicious and there were no signs of foul play.
