Edgewater, FL - This morning in Edgewater there was a T-bone accident involving a dump truck and a roofing supply truck that resulted in a large fuel spill.
Edgewater Fire Rescue arrived at the scene of the accident on SR-442 (Indian River Blvd.) near I-95 at 9:22 on Friday morning. No one was injured and both drivers were out of their vehicles when crews arrived.
The roofing supply truck had just filled up its 100 gallon gas tank which was ruptured in the accident. Firefighters worked to contain the leak until HazMat arrived and pumped the remaining fuel from the tank.
Drivers may see crews working to recover contaminated soil over the next few days.
