2 Shark Bites In NSB Bring Total For Year So Far To 14

New Smyrna Beach, FL-Shark bites to two surfers in New Smyrna Beach this weekend have brought the total of bites for the year to fourteen. Beach Safety Senior Captain Andrew Ethridge says a 32-year-old surfer from Port Orange was bitten on the side near the Flagler Avenue approach around 5:30 PM Saturday. He had minor injuries and refused transport. He also refused further medical care. On Sunday around 11:30 AM a 21-year-old surfer from Longwood was bitten on the foot while surfing near the New Smyrna Beach jetty.
