Flagler County, FL - FCSO has forwarded charges to the state attorney's office against 2 students invovled in the September 7 bomb threat at Bunnell Elementary School and the plot against Flagler Palm Coast High School.

The incident began when a threatening email was sent from a Flagler County student's school email account to Bunnell Elementary School. That bomb threat was determined to be unfounded, and during the investigation FCSO detectives and school officials uncovered what appeared to be a separate plot against Flagler Palm Coast HS. The students involved were taken out of class and had their school and personal electronic devices confiscated by detectives.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office helped analyze those electronic devices, revealing about 32,000 personal chat messages for FCSO to comb through. After reviewing those messages FCSO forwarded a charge of falsely reporting a bomb on 1 student and falsely reporting a bomb and written threats against the other student - both are felony charges.

Florida law prohibits identifying the 2 students involved.
