106 Games Seized From Ormond-Area Internet Cafes

UPDATE (04-17-19): The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says a total of 106 games have been seized from three different internet cafes around Ormond Beach.

According to VCSO, six games were collected from "The Spot" off of 1220 Hand Avenue, 50 games from "The Hot Spot" at 1230 Hand Avenue, and 50 additional games found at a third location, known as "The Room," off of 1240 Hand Avenue.

These investigations are still ongoing, and VCSO says they could visit other locations in the future.

Ormond Beach, FL - For the second time in less than six months, two internet cafes in the Ormond Beach area are shut down due to suspicions of illegal gambling.

Volusia County Sheriff's detectives executed search warrants today at The Spot at 1220 Hand Ave. and right next door, The Hot Spot at 1230 Hand Ave.

Both locations were shut down and issued cease and desist orders back in October 2018.

Deputies have seized equipment for forensic examination.

At this time, no arrests have been made. This investigation is still active and ongoing.
