New Smyrna Beach, FL - Volusia Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide in New Smyrna Beach.
Deputies responded to a home in the 800 block of Bluefish Avenue on Sunday afternoon for a well-being check. They found the homeowner, 58-year-old Joseph Patti, and resident 54-year-old Sherrie Bolin, deceased inside the house.
Preliminary results suggest that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide by gunshot.
Family members have been notified of the deaths. Autopsies are taking place today.
