Orange City, FL - A 72-year-old woman is without her wallet, along with the cash, credit cards and ID that were in it. Volusia Sheriff's (VSO) detectives say the theft happened at the Bravo Supermarket in Orange City earlier this week.

The victim told investigators that the suspect approached her, claiming she had bugs on her back. The suspect began to brush the "bugs" off and told the victim to move her purse to clear all the bugs. The victim complied but when she went through the checkout, she discovered that her wallet was gone.

Several unauthorized charges were discovered on her credit cards, all made in the Deltona area. The incident was captured on the attached video, which includes the suspect's photo and vehicle, a silver Kia Optima.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to contact Detective Martir at JMartir@vcso.us or call 386-668-3830. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 877-277-TIPS or via the P# Tips app. You could be eligible for a cash reward.
