VSO Looking For Witnesses To Fatal Christmas Eve Crash

Deltona, FL - Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) investigators are looking for witnesses to a fatal motorcycle accident that happened on Christmas Eve. They say that 33-year-old Damien Valeros of DeLand collided with a passenger vehicle around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Doyle Road and Providence Boulevard in Deltona.

The driver of the vehicle told deputies that he was traveling east on Doyle Rd. When he tried to turn left onto Providence Blvd., his vehicle collided with Valeros' motorcycle.  Valeros was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
