DeLand, FL - The Volusia County School Board meets tomorrow and is expected to approve the Salary Schedules for Volusia United Educators-Support (VUE-Support) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Council 79, Local 850 (AFSCME).

The raise for support staff follows the three-year contract signed in November 2018, which allows for a 2.5 percent salary increase.  The VUE bargaining team had one session with VCS to have the percentage increased to three percent before the District canceled the negotiations.

VCSB is also expected to approve the purchase of 20 new school buses in the amount of $2,223,940.
