Units Respond To Active Shooter Call In Astor

Astor, FL - Deputies are currently investigating after an active shooter call went out near the St. Johns River.

The call initially went out just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday (October 13th) for all nearby units to respond to the area of Ormands Jungle Den Road where shots were being fired. According to Volusia Sheriff's Office PIO Andrew Gant, no one was injured in the shooting—which reportedly stemmed from an argument over money. The shooter is speaking with deputies, interviews are continuing.
