Three Daytona Beach Men Charged With Resisting Arrest And Other Crimes

Port Orange, FL - Volusia Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested three Daytona Beach men after they fled from an attempted traffic stop in a suspicious U-Haul truck in Deltona. Sitting in the Volusia County Jail are 25-year-old Ricky Edwards, 22-year-old Laron Manning, and 23-year-old Michael Jackson.  The same truck was allegedly used during car burglaries in Deltona.

All three are charged with resisting arrest without violence. In addition, Edwards, the driver, is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, driving while license suspended, resisting a law enforcement officer without violence, and running a red light. His bond is set at $4,500. Manning is also charged with possession of counterfeit bills. His bond is $3,500. Jackson doesn't have any additional charges. His bond is set at $1,000. All three have been arrested several times. 

After the truck fled from the traffic stop, Air One spotted it in Port Orange, and the trio eventually bailed out. An initial search of the area did not meet with success. A resident that was questioned denied seeing anyone. That changed when she was shown Air One footage and admitted that all three suspects were inside the house.

One suspect came outside and was taken into custody without issue. The other two were found inside a bedroom, pretending to be asleep. They were also arrested.

This is an open investigation and more charges could be forthcoming.
