Per the agreement, Ramos is to be sentenced to lifetime probation, but early termination of the probation can be requested after 10 years. The state can oppose that but a judge will make the ultimate decision.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 22, 2021. According to State Attorney R.J. Larizza, he believes that Ramos is the youngest person to be charged with murder as an adult in the circuit since he was elected state attorney in 2008.
