As of this week police are still searching for the suspect who shot a 26-year-old woman near the Icon One Daytona apartment complex in Daytona Beach. After the shooting, the suspect is also said to have robbed the victim of $3,000 in cash. The incident occurred in the early evening on February 3rd, with little in the way of major updates from law enforcement ever since.

Reports on the shooting indicate the victim sustained a gunshot wound in her right chest area, causing injuries that are not said to be life-threatening. She was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach to be treated, and a report from the Daytona Beach Police Department indicates she's in stable condition.

Officers reportedly found the victim next to a vehicle on the ground at Legends Lane and Highbanks Blvd within One Daytona. According to police, the victim was with two other women ages 25 and 26 when they were approached by two men in ski masks and black clothing, who held them at gunpoint.

When one woman is said to have tried fleeing for the apartment building, a witness described hearing two gunshots. One of the three women stayed in the car while the dramatic shooting took place. She reportedly described seeing the victim try and open the door to the car, before being shot. She then fled as she heard a second shot.
