Suspect Arrested, 15-Year-Old Girl Home Safe

UPDATE 2: The Volusia Sheriff's Office confirmed to News Daytona Beach via email that Huffman is now home safe.

UPDATE: The Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) announces the arrest of Hilario Maldonado, who was found at his Deltona home on Monday (November 2nd).

Maldonado was arrested  for interfering with child custody after DeBary teen Charleigh Huffman left her home earlier on Monday, possibly traveling with him. The teen, however, is still missing. Deputies are asking everyone to be on the lookout for her.

DeBary, FL - The Volusia Sheriff's Office says 15-year-old Charleigh Huffman was last seen today at 4:15 a.m. at her home and investigators say she could be traveling with 29-year-old Hilario Maldonado in a beige Audi with Florida tag 379-1XA.

Charleigh Huffman is 5'2" and weighs about 130 pounds. She has blonde hair in a ponytail with the bottom half of her hair shaved. She was wearing a dark hoodie and white and blue camo running shorts when last seen.

Maldonado is a convicted felon and may be armed.
