Student Arrested Again For Battery On School Personnel

Palm Coast, FL - A 15-year-old Flagler Palm Coast High Student is arrested after committing battery on school personnel yet again.

A school resource deputy at FPC responded to a report about a fight between students. As he approached, he found a teacher attempting to break up the fight before he was struck on the back by 15-year-old Oscar Banks. After being hit, the teacher attempted to restrain Banks against the wall with the assistance of Dean Erin Davis.

While being restrained, Banks tried to resist both school staff members who were trying to keep him away from the fight. As the deputy approached the staff and Banks, Banks shoved Dean Davis before being successfully restrained.

Upon reviewing security footage, it was discovered that Banks was observed at another location unsuccessfully attempting to entice another student into fighting him. This is also not Bank’s first arrest for assaulting school personnel, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Banks has previous charges from August of last year for battery on school personnel with a court date this February. Similarly, those charges came after another fight at FPC.

He was placed under arrest and transported to Flagler County Jail.
